<p>Many young adults and even teens and children deal with stress everyday too. This can lead to panic disorder symptoms at an early age.</p>

<h2>Recognizing Panic Disorder Symptoms In Children And Teens</h2>
<p>A medical condition known as panic disorder is more common today than many believe. It is a disorder where someone goes through recurring episodes of panic. An intense fear overcomes them and the main fear that grips many is the fear of it happening again in the future. These attacks generally last for short periods, but the discomfort and fear is intense. It is a treatable condition that affects people of all ages. Because of that, panic disorder symptoms in teens and children can be different than symptoms in adults.</p>
<p>It is more difficult for a youth to explain the psychological symptoms than it is the physical ones. That may be why the symptoms appear differently than in adults. Children are not equipped to accurately describe the intense feeling of fears they experience, although teens usually can. And, because these episodes come without warning and without reason, children may connect the attack with something or someone they have seen like a stranger or a dog at first.</p>
<p>The severity of symptoms may vary depending on where the child or teen is at when it occurs. At home they are freer to express themselves and may not hide the symptoms like they would at other places. That may be why in some cases there are more symptoms when they are at home rather than at school or out with friends.</p>
<p>A panic attack at home can have one or more symptoms to signal an attack is taking place. The episodes may seem to be more frequent and out of the blue and come with a fast pulse, chest discomfort, difficulty breathing, nausea, sweating, and even fainting. They may even express that they feel like they&#8217;re going crazy at times. Certain places in the home may be avoided as they fear an attack may occur when in those places. In a lot of cases, children are not able to explain the symptoms or why they are fearful.</p>
<p>When a child or teen experiences an attack at school, they usually try to hide the symptoms. That would explain why more attacks are reported to happen at home and less at school. At school they have the pressures of their surroundings and peers, creating the desire to hide the problem. This setting can also make them reluctant and unable to talk about the attack.</p>
<p>Like at home, the attacks can be recurrent and out of the blue. But other symptoms may include suddenly interrupting activities repeatedly without knowing why. They may have difficulty concentrating because of constantly worrying which can affect their academic and social activities at school. Young children may have a hard time separating from their parents and have a lot of trouble transitioning from home to school and fight to stay home.</p>
<h3>Your Doctor Can Evaluate Panic Disorder</h3>
<p>For a doctor to understand and determine the diagnosis, a teen or child would need to make frequent visits over a period of time. As symptoms can vary and change as the child grows, it will take time for a doctor to evaluate the patient. They will take a look at other factors that can appear to be panic disorders like anxiety disorders and phobias. Some medical conditions may also cause panic attacks and be taken into consideration.</p>
<p>It is embarrassing for children and teens to talk about what they are going through and to share the symptoms they have. Since many are unwilling to come forward with panic disorder symptoms, parents need to be aware of what is going on and encourage them to talk to them about it. Treatment is possible with this disorder and early intervention can help prevent the attacks from getting worse and causing other problems in the future.</p>

One thing you need to know right away is medications and doctor&#8217;s offices are, from my own opinion, not the proper regimen. While they do know about anxiety, they are trained a certain way and your regimens are predictable. Take some medicine, get some rest, and call me in a few weeks. It will definitely take your mind off everything else.</p>
<p>Controlling your anxiety and getting rid of those panic attacks is your overall goal. All it takes is trying the right methods to do it. Nevertheless, we really recommend taking the natural way and stay away from the medications. In the end it can essentially damage your fight against anxiety.</p>
